narcasse: Sebastian Flyte. Brideshead Revisited (2008) (執事)
As recommended by [livejournal.com profile] blasphemiliar, Omnia’s reading of Poe’s The Raven which at the start reminds me a little of the Potter Puppet Palls’ Snape.

Picture Perfect (PG. Comedy. 2611 words.)
Cain’s new camera: Isaak & Dietrich in front of its lens. (An in-universe explanation for that official piece of fanservice featuring Isaak & Dietrich.)

The annotated Donkeyskin - SurLaLune

I Have no Mouth, and I Must Scream - Harlan Ellison (scifi.com)

Courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] sf_drama the old argument that you can’t look things up yourself with a side helping of needing to be taught everything about life at school and this, which the linked commenter sums up better than I could.

Also, a meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] nekonexus: Were I a summonable creature, what kind of ritual would you craft to summon me?

Today listening to "I know him so well" from the ABBA musical Chess it occurred to me that the song is quite the paean to monogamy in spite of the characters actually involved.

Because I did that "Comment to this post and I will give you a letter. Upload and share five songs beginning with that letter" meme and [livejournal.com profile] blasphemiliar awarded me the letter ‘c’ for ‘chervil’.

Possibly because I spent part of Friday talking about how Freud’s free association seemed to be more about his own perception of matters than anybody else’s, two demotivators: Functionality and Masks.

Also, some Robert Frost from [livejournal.com profile] softerworldfeed.

A demotivator says all that needs to be said at the current time.

And some music to fall out of love to:
Dance me to the End of Love - Leonard Cohen
Bara no Jubai - Rosen Maiden OST
Adagio Moderato (Cello concerto in E minor) - Elgar (performed by Jacqueline du Pré)
Ansia – Gunslinger Girl OST
Rest Stop - Matchbox Twenty
Ninth Heaven - Grim Fandango OST

How hard is it to get a distance estimate? I don’t want directions; it’s not like I’m going to bloody walk there. I just want a simple estimate of how many miles Luxor is from Alexandria. That’s all. Nothing particularly special. Bah. I should have just grabbed a ruler and calculated it myself using the map on my wall.

Have some music that may or may not seemingly be classified as ‘Goth’ anyway:
Ribbons - The Sisters of Mercy
Into The Sky - Switchblade Symphony
Just One Kiss - The Cure
Blood of Angles - Michelle Belanger
Phantom Procession – Nox Arcana

Not that I really know what qualifies any of the above as Goth music really, seeing as I have things like Gilbert & Sullivan and Counting Crows on my harddrive as well anyway.
