- Bioshock/Cabin Pressure/Sherlock crossover
I promised that I might get around to this about a month ago as part of the Cabin Pressure prompt meme, and then took up reading The Fountainhead, compiled a basic rundown of objectivism and promptly got derailed by the tragic nature of macroeconomic. In fact, I’ve probably spent at least a month telling myself that I’ve given up on anything even remotely related to the state of the economy and am going to henceforth just bewail the financial state of things, while at the same time calculating my expenses down to the last penny. My monthly expenses spreadsheet has evolved from a courtesy nod at the idea, into the sort of thing that my accounting lecturers would have been proud of after all. Having come back to this crossover, now that I have a fair grasp of objectivism and don’t really need to wait till I finish The Fountainhead to clue me in on that, the next step is to decide whether or not I’m going to attempt to include aspects from the sort fills I wrote for the meme. I also need to work out the logistics of one key aspect so that the entire thing hangs together reasonably. And, depending on whether or not the detail will turn out to be appropriate, I might even get to put my copy of Howdunit: Book of Poisons to some genuine writing use. It’s been sitting on my shelf for 4 years now, and while it makes a fascinating read, it was an impulse buy that’s never, as yet, been used for its intended purpose. - Making reference to The Adventure of the Reigate Puzzle
I keep telling myself that I might not bother finishing this one, because it’s a meandering, atmospheric piece rather than anything else. In fact, I’d decided that I was going to just leave it to languish in my WIP folder indefinitely, until this week. Of course my improving health has probably been helping because it’s no fun to write about exhaustion if you’re exhausted yourself at the time. I’ll see where this one goes at any rate. - Pr0n challenge
I’d given up on this one as well until this week. Writing the actual explicit part of it is painfully dull but it needs to be written so that I can get on to the traumatic aftermath. I’m far more interested in writing the forcible rearranging of paradigms than writing impromptu wanking after all. In fact, when I went back to glance over what I’d written, I discovered that I’d already made a start on the aftermath because I couldn’t be bothered to write the rest of the explicit part. - Expanded version of this from the Cabin Pressure meme
I’ve actually made a start on this as a dialogue only piece but it seemingly wants to be some kind of threesome, rather than the straight comedy piece that I was aiming for. This may or may not be because I also feel like I may want to write a Cabin Pressure threesome as well. I may well let this sit and percolate for a while. - Something involving BDSM & possibly cross-dressing
This will actually involve a little research because a padded collar feels distinctly different to a non-padded one. Likewise, padded cuffs are restrictive but in a somewhat different way to non-padded ones. So I’m going to need to do a little texture and range of movement analysis. In fact, I might even need to refresh my memory on riding crop technique if I want to mention that in passing as well.
