Having complained about it now I don’t even think I’m using all of those 15 icon slots. It’s made me start to seriously think about what I do want to be posting and what can really do without mention. It’s really helped to break away from the mentality of feeling obliged to update which I’d fallen into with LJ.
I did take your advice in the end and just started afresh here though I am still crossposting public posts, which is something that I’m going to consider doing less of in the future most likely.
