White Day drabble! (multi-fandom)

I know it’s technically tomorrow that’s what I like to think of as 'chick appreciation day' though I’m flexible about who needs appreciating anyway. Even though it’s only acknowledged in Japan.
And I’m putting this up now because it’s already White Day in Burma so I've decided it counts!


Justifications

Disclaimer: Four fandoms in total.

A drabble for any one of four characters, just pick your ending.

There are two sides of every argument, always two sides to every decision.
Does one choose one ally or another? Should one choose duty or love?
He used to think that it was easily divisible. Perhaps it is.
One fights for one’s homeland or one fights for one’s destiny. Because really, they are not at all the same.
He used to forget the difference; easy enough when such things coincide.



But without love or duty as guide, the suspension of reasoning is far simpler.
And without reason, what obligation has he to justify anything at all.
That way lies madness.


But without duty or honour for reason what need he for justifications?
What foolishness to even believe in love.
Though it will forever amuse him, to watch the weak fail.


And when they do not, he can make no other decision.
Because it is all that he exists for. His fatalistic reason.
Because for him, there was no other destiny.


So he supposes that now should be simpler.
Because he fights against one, for the other.
And really, it is easier for him to die so that others might live.

I haven’t really specified the characters but I was thinking of Daryoon, Naoji, Seishiro and Lucius respectively.
And this was suppose to be a happy thing for White Day...
