Sporadically speaking

Last Monday I attempted to write a post but somehow ended up wandering off to deal with other things. Plenty of my days are like that really so it’s not unusual for me to save an entry to post at a later date; unfortunately I seem to have lost a good portion of what I wanted to say in the process.

Other than that, it would be nice if unabridged copies of The Muqaddimah were a little cheaper because I’m not so sold on the value of abridged versions of anything. And I’ve discovered that the very first time I got drunk was due primarily to kirschwasser because while it was indeed served in small, chilled glasses I simply decided that I could do with rather more of it than was sensible.

When I first wrote Centipede as a Meine Liebe/Saiyuki cross-over it was meant to be a joke. It ended up spawning several other cross-overs in the end which I need to tag properly but it was meant to stop there, unfortunately now in two half done fics at the moment it seems to be cropping up again because every time I write Ludwig, he seems to be absolutely determined that he is Hyakugen Maoh. That in of itself isn’t a huge problem, though if I’m plotting out youkai family trees here then we’ve already had ‘wormsign’ and it’s time to break out the Fremen in the hope that it’ll stop to eat them and everything else won’t get swallowed by some good ol’ Saiyuki incest.

The thing is, I’d rather that any and all conversation that I’m writing at the moment involving Ludwig didn’t dissolve into half-baked allusions to mad clans and/or demonic kings. Though perhaps, considering the batshitery of certainly folks in Wieder maybe the comparison would be reasonable.


Also, I’m curious as to why Reiji Mitsurugi (Miles Edgeworth) was at Bristol Parkway the other day. Bristol Parkway being a glorified shed, btw.
Bristol Temple Meads on the other hand, having a strange café where various and sundry young women look at you curiously, as if they think that they might know you, while you smoke your Spanish cigarettes and read China Miéville’s “Perdido Street Station” which is absolutely fascinating and a little mind-bending from the start.


And yes, ‘batshitery’ is a real word, for once spoken aloud such things are granted life and finest gossamer wings which will carry them to the minds of others, in which they will unceremoniously sink their proboscis.
