Meine Liebe drabble: Temperance

Now it seems to me
That you know just what to say
Words are only words
Can you show me something else
Can you swear to me that you'll always be this way

- Rob Thomas "Lonely No More"

Companion piece to Resolutions.

Temperance

++++++++++

Eduard sits up in bed, watching Orpherus sleep. They have talked out the worst of it, the bizarre mixture of supposition and presumption and flawlessly sophistry that always ensnares.

Orpherus’ cheeks are stained by tears and Eduard stares hard, burning the image into his mind so that next time he will remember that this is what anger achieves.
He won’t do this again, won’t make the same mistakes. Not because of Orpherus' pain really but because he is entirely selfish in his desire to keep Orpherus by his side. And if he wants to achieve that, it will require temperance.

Temperance indeed. The fact that they are both resolving to work on things is good, definitely. ^_^

and yes, because Rob is like that.

I think I had something to say about the corresponding tarot card but I can’t remember it now. I’m sure there’s something about it meaning adaptability as well as the obvious diplomacy so maybe it not so much of a problem between them, only that Ed needed a little time to catch up.

Ooh, wonderful. A very interesting take on Eduard, that's for sure.

...Fuck it, I'm just not cut out for this coherent feedback lark. *squees and wibbles gleefully*

Fuck it, beer? ^_~

I lack English breakfast tea, must remedy that before I try to do things involving encoding...

Fuck it, beer?

I'm not that much of an alcoholic. ...At this hour of the morning, at least. XP (Except on ANZAC Day, but I'm fairly sure the whole country gets special dispensation to be pissed by 7AM then.)

Yes, tea prior to encoding could just prevent you from doing silly things like trying to burn what you've recently encoded to the wrong side of a CD. Or maybe that's just me...

As long as the sun is over the yard-arm it’s perfectly reasonable or so I was once told. ^_~
Besides, an alcoholic is someone you don’t like who drinks as much as you do or so said Dylan Thomas anyway.

silly things like trying to burn what you've recently encoded to the wrong side of a CD.

Thankfully my DVDs are idiot-proof since the tops sport a lovely biohazard yellow so you can’t miss which side goes where... normally...
