Only a few days ago emthornhill established the prestigious yaoi_arislan community. Full of drabble challenges and fine company, including a Narsus with entirely fandom inappropriate icons. So do take a look if you like your Arslan Senki fandom active.

And randomly, have some twilight that I meant to subject the world to before. It’s the view from my bedroom window to be precise and I just felt that I should share.

Phantom of the Opera - a thought on musicals scanty based on the novel

I was going to write fic and then I dug out my copy of the original Phantom of the Opera cast recording and Michael Crawford happened and if I had any coherent thoughts in my head, they’ve fled. I love Michael Crawford’s voice. I’ve also noticed that I tend to get a little cross-eyed and gushy over any hint of a pipe-organ in just about anything.

In which Utena karaoke does come in handy after all

Because having sung “Zettai unmei mokushiroku” or at least attempted to enough times, I can accurately say that the full title of Meine Liebe does include the word Apocalypse. Hurrah.
And that makes me unreasonably happy.

“Zettai unmei mokushiroku” being ‘ultimate destiny Apocalypse’. Thus my approximation of the full title of Meine Liebe Wieder translating as ‘Something Random Romance Whatchmacallit My Love, Again’ was almost viable. Or not, as the case may be.
Ginyuu Mokushiroku Meine Liebe being then ‘Epic Apocalypse My Love’ or something to that effect.

Though a quick Google says that the Utena line is “Absolute Destiny Apocalypse” instead. And that ginyuu is literally ‘bard’.
