narcasse: Sebastian Flyte. Brideshead Revisited (2008) (alone)
I’ve currently spent my morning listening to Chopin in an attempt to identify a stock performance piece and I don’t even like Romantic composers. I’m also slightly out of tune today which is annoying and if I listen to any more Chopin I might just have to slice off my own fingers. Though I suppose I did attend some sort of recital years ago but only because the chap performing was renowned for his performance of Die Kunst der Fugue. I get homicidal if there’s no counterpoint to be had after a while.
Either way, my current guess may well be Chopin’s Nocturne, op. 9 nr 2 but I’ll have to come back and verify that when I’ve managed to retune to D minor accurately.

Wieder how do I hate thee? Let me count the ways.
...to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
(paraphrasing Elizabeth Barrett Browning as if you couldn’t already tell)
