Just in case anybody missed it:

Because ‘oversized tuning forks’ absolutely equal the spear that is said to have pierced Christ’s side and due to the virtue of his blood would give anyone in possession of it, the power to conquer the world.
If anyone can actually come up with a plausible reason for that comparison, please do tell because I’m sorry but I just can’t see it. Besides, if you want to debate semantics, it’s the power to conquer the world and not necessarily to rule it and instantaneous death is meant to follow if you do lose the thing anyway.


Additionally: that suggest a character drabble challenge is still open.

A combination of mint, coffee & chocolate

This seemed like a nice mint coffee recipe when I first caught sight of it but I didn’t find a chance to give it a try till this morning afternoon and even then, in variation. I can make my own hot chocolate coffee mix, thank you very much. So instead of trying to follow anything approaching that recipe, I just took a hammer to two Murray mints and added that to a regular cup of instant coffee. And seeing as I’m on a bit of a mint kick at the moment that turned out quite nicely, though I’m not entirely sure that it complimented my breakfast pan au chocolat.

In keeping with the mint theme, I’m still not quite satisfied with my shop-bought Moroccan mint tea which may be a fault of the type of mint involved. Though seeing as I tend to make use of a reasonable sencha when I make my homemade version, it’s no wonder that the Green China gunpowder in the shop mix tastes somewhat different.


In other news, to one of my pre-entirely-woken-up thoughts of "Hey, I could write Baybars/Radu if only that wouldn’t mean that Radu would come off sounding like one of the Bennett sisters." my Counting Crows album countered with "I’m not gonna worry about it anymore." which says it all really.
