I don’t know about angst not being a Marvel thing necessarily though there are far too many crazy AUs about for there to be much angst rather than experimental weirdness, I suppose. People were saying that there was one of Juggernaut’s lines which was straight from the comics at least.
It’s possibly that it seemed to be going with that idea that angst makes things more mature somehow. I don’t know how that works exactly but that might actually be another fandom related rant waiting to happen. Apparently there are going to be a couple of spin-offs anyway film-wise so it’ll probably be interesting to see what happens with those. Then again there’s also going to be a new Transformers film too apparently so maybe this year’s theme is going to be filling comic book storylines with angst.
