1) Ludwig likes to complain. He won’t admit to it often but he actually enjoys poking holes in various arguments and ideologies. 2) He’s a surprisingly good cook though he doesn’t cook often and tends to cook French-style food for the most part. He’s been known to claim that the reason for his lack of frequent cooking is to spare Naoji death via overtly rich Western food. 3) He claims to drink an awful lot more gin than he really does. He actually drinks in moderation and doesn’t like to be very drunk at all. 4) Despite claims, he enjoys green tea just as much as he does Darjeeling. This may or may not have something to do with the fact that Naoji brews up whole pots of flavoured secha. 5a) Surprisingly enough he can sing quite well and can in fact sing the entirety of the Austrian national anthem from memory. (This may be, depending on version, because he is either half or a quarter Austrian.) 5b) He can play the shamisen quite well though he is very self-conscious about his level of skill not being apt to do the instrument justice. (Third version that is.)
Bonus fact:
6) He sometimes worries that the only Japanese phrases he knows and can repeat with any accuracy belong exclusively in the bedroom. Though as much as he may complain about the matter, Naoji doesn’t seem in anything of a hurry to correct that oversight.
