An island off the coast of mainland Europe, off the cost of France to be specific. With too many politicians. With people pushing for an isolationist foreign policy. With socialist workers doing things. With over-privileged students swarming through institutes of learning. With terrorism and a class system that no matter what anyone says, still exists.
Sound familiar? Can you guess the country?
If you guessed Kuchen, then you’re wrong. I’m talking about the UK. This sceptered isle, this Britannic nation, this island girt by sea.
This fucked up, anachronistic, miserable, ineffectual, gloriously pedantic, narrow-minded, backwards thinking, old boys network, refuge of the Empire.
Oh, England that you’ll neither join the EMU nor have a referendum.
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.

God, it’s just political constipation isn’t it.
