Eris seems to take lots of these little strolls really.

Inevitability

Disclaimer: Greek mythology is its own business but Silent Hill belongs to Konami, Team Silent and in the case of the movie also Sony Pictures.

+++++++++

The streets are filled with glorious silence, the sort of emptiness that humanity abhors. Burnt out cars and burnt out houses. Broken down shops and broken down signs.

From above it would be a map of inevitability, if it were possible to see it from the stars. But it isn’t which is why this visitor walks the streets under the fall of dusty rain.

The silence is too perfect, too still for human minds to appreciate beyond the sirens.
In the distance they begin, heralding a man who is not a man. And on a road leading nowhere, Discord smiles.

This is truly lovely (well, as lovely as something based on Silent Hill can be ~_^). The repetition is particularly effective and your imagery is as marvellous as ever.

streets are filled a glorious silence

Is there a missing word here, or is it simply too early in the day for me to be reading without my glasses?

My potential illiteracy aside, well done, you!

Missing word? What missing word? Dear me, it seems to have miraculously corrected itself in the text. ^_~

I’m sure this random walk thing is something I picked up from Finance theory though. Pick a place, any place and you’d be hard pressed to keep Discord out of there anyway.
Glad you liked it.
