1) When he goes though his fencing kata practice alone he uses a much heavier blade than you’d normally fence with. Something more like a classical arming sword. Which is why his blows have much more power than his opponents would expect in tournaments. 2) His ancestors were actually Crusaders and he still retains ties to Rome. Though as much as he rages about affronts to the Knights Templar he’s never clarified whether or not that’s due to some familial connection. 3) Despite everything they’ve gone through and any accusations that people have made, it’s never crossed Orpherus’ mind that Eduard might not be a noble because deep down as much as he likes the trappings and so on, Orpherus honestly believes that real nobility comes from within.
And a bonus:
4) He claims to have trouble seeing girls. Nobody quite knows what it means when he says that though it may in fact be similar to Naoji’s exclusionary rule where he has trouble seeing anybody else if Ludwig is in the room.
