1) William is one of life’s unintentional liars or to better phrase it; storytellers. He simply can’t seem to give the bare facts of anything when he’s telling a tale and the version of any story that he comes up with on any given occasion will be full of wonderful embellishments and witty repartee that may actually have never happened.
2) He doesn’t have any distinct alcoholic preference, simply because he prefers to put whatever it is in his tea, which is the more important part when he’s drinking.
3) He’s always regarded himself as secretly still being Anglican. And though it doesn’t make all that much difference to matters now, is wise enough not to share that fact too widely while in Rome.
4) He has actually kissed Isaak once. They were both utterly drunk and on the way back from a do up at London Bridge. Isaak didn’t recall it in the morning so William thought it circumspect not to mention the matter.
5) As odd as it seems, he actually plays pool rather than snooker. Though he does at least prefer Bridge to Gin Rummy.

Bonus fact:

6) He was actually studying Theology in Londinium but still insists on telling everybody that it was medicine. Knowing full well that while Isaak might reasonably consider calling him on this fact, won’t because William could then reveal that Isaak’s claim of BioMed is also a complete lie and that he was in fact studying Mechanical Engineering.


I have two versions of what may have occurred that I’m particularly fond of though yes, once I get round to trimming up this ‘how Isaak met Cain’ piece and post that I’ll probably get back to the sillier version of what happened between him and William.

Thank you, you've made me very happy. #2 makes me happy for the simple fact that I really don't know what he would drink, he does seem like the kind who likes his tea most of the time. #5, that crossed my mind Friday, and to me it fits that he would play pool. #4 it just wouldn't be complete without a kiss between those two, I find it all rather cute.

And now I have more fic to look forward too, lovely. XD

I’ve thought about it and William just seems to want his tea and nothing else. Isaak may drink Stoli and Radu may drink anything that’s to hand but William just seems to prefer a hot toddy at most. I’ll bet he snuck off to IC to play pool with the chaps there once a week and possibly to get away from Isaak and his ‘lovey dahling’ friends every so often too. I can’t quite seem to break myself from the idea that it’s his relationship with William at university that’d been the cause of all Isaak’s troubles or at least if not the relationship itself rather the fact that it fell apart and that it’s scarred him forever more.

Anyway, it was all very nice to read, and I've always had a kiss for him and Isaak in my pseudocanon too..
Althought William has never really think about him as a mate there, he uses to think of that kiss as people ask him about his first homoerotic experience, because everything about Isaak is always absolute. And a drunk, just half conscious kiss from him is a far way deeper experience than a wild night with even the most handsome random roman boy.

Eventually I’ll likely get round to writing that scene though these days I’m almost tempted to write them stumbling down the steps to Temple underground which closes early enough that William could possibly get in a chance to shove a drunken Isaak up against the closed barrier and kiss him on purpose.
