- Debrett’s info via tweets: 'Abeyance' is the technical term given to a title (usually a barony by writ) which is in a state of suspension between co-heirs. A Prince of the Royal Blood is usually created a duke either shortly after coming of age or upon his marriage.
- Tesco’s own brand cinnamon tastes too sharp to be cinnamon on its own. Tastes like it could be blended with mace. A bit strange with porridge
- Had first cup of black tea (Mighty Leaf Tea’s Orange Dulce) in at least three weeks yesterday.
- Watched Strange Days. Rather good cyberpunk film touching on a similar theme to The Surrogates.
- Quote from the creator of The Surrogates in interview: "It dawned on me that if you were somehow able to create a persona and send it out into the real world—where it could go to work for you, and run your errands, and so on—then you would never have to go back to being yourself."
- Started reading Deadman Wonderland. Absolute judicial systems, corrupt administrations and the, possibly wilfully, ignorant public seem to be big Japanese themes.
- Reading D.Gray-Man as well. Fairly standard shonen series with enough bizarre blasphemy to keep me interested. Probably have fairly high personal tolerance for pseudo-Christianity in fiction though.
- Wish anime/manga/anything else would finally leave Crowley alone: the man’s dead already, let it lie.
- Body language site.
- First twenty minutes of Red Eye rather good for body language analysis. Few sections of Batman Begins not bad for eye-tracking either. Still can’t decide if this is because Cillian Murphy has rather hard to miss eyes or is just really good at playing crazies, figure it’s probably the latter.
- In Batman Begins Crane gives every indication of talking to himself before he actually whips out his mask with Falcone. Pretty disturbing once you know what to look for. Still not canon though.

Date: 2009-09-30 10:19 am (UTC)I tried D.Gray-Man for a while, but while I found the concept interesting, I was just not captivated by the story.
Speaking of tea, I finally managed to make a perfect cup of cardamom tea, with rose water from scratch!

Date: 2009-10-05 06:37 am (UTC)I used two fresh cardamom pods, and a regular Tetly tea bag. I let them boil whole along with the water, and allowed them to remain in the cup till I had added all the other ingrediants. The flavors mix well, if you keep the tea bag in for 2/3 for the required time. i.e. tea of medium strenght.
