Death Note drabbles: Insanity & Illusion

Kira and L, respectively. Though one them was written quite some time ago.
Not really related to this one really. And on the topic of class alignments, I’d presume L to be Lawful Neutral while Kira might be Chaotic Neutral all things considered.
Insanity
Disclaimer: Death Note belongs to Tsugumi Ooba, Takeshi Obata, Shueisha and others.
++++++++++
What nobody ever mentions is that genius is like dying, like floating and falling suspended in time. Waiting for the chance to face a worthy adversary: it’s all about borrowed time.
The man with many faces or many names, without a face is mad: his victims unlucky chances he couldn’t ever take. Each one of them absolutely justifiable in their fall.
He’s a saviour; brining justice to all. Both are. Mirror images, differences all the same.
The boy who’s breaking just an experiment, a specimen in a game. Nobody wants to think that it is L who is really insane.
++++++++++
Illusion
Disclaimer: Death Note belongs to Tsugumi Ooba, Takeshi Obata, Shueisha and others.

The joke is that L is just as false a persona as Ratio... or should that be Kira? Some days it’s hard to tell. Or Ryuuzaki or Ryuuga or whatever the hell else L chooses to call himself.
It’s not that Ratio cares really, only that the joke is getting a little stale.
L isn’t real: Kira is a psychopath or a god, depending. Neither of them substantial.
Ratio is no altruist; he wants to be a god. L doesn’t care about justice; he wants to circumvent boredom.
So it’s easy to forget what exactly is meant to be real...
